CES 2001 Installation

Below you will find pictures I took at Consumer Electronics Show January 2001. This is a European competitor who had his car shipped to be displayed in the DLS booth. DLS has a tradition of placing very high end european competition vehicles in its booth. For the most part, they are one of if not the best sounding cars vehicles at the show.

The owner modified the dash to mount speakers in the top of the dash, and tweeters in the sail panel and A pillar of the vehicle. The grille is made out of a machined piece of aluminum and it preserves the functionality of the defroster vents in the dash. Up close, the dash looks like it came from the factory this way. Very nice.

Another picture of the dash, but with the A-pillar cover back in place. Looks very stock, and it sounds incredible.

A picture of the ADCS-1 headunit mounted in the dash. He removed the top vents above the radio and made a mouting ring that went in its place. The car retains the stock radio with navigation. The radio mount is painted to match the exterior of the car.

Another picture, this time showing the head unit, and 10" speakers mounted in the kickpanel for midbass.

Here is the first picture of the trunk. Those are Genesis amps (some of the best of the best). In addition to the amps, some of the heatsinks house the DAC cards from the ADCS-1 system that has been taken apart and placed inside of Genesis heatsinks to make them look like amps. If you look closely, some of the amps have no speaker wire outputs.

Another picture of the trunk. Very nice install. He is running 3 DLS subwoofers as well.
